Nowadays Carlos Puig's great-grandson, Jaime Alarcón, leads the fourth generation of the family in revitalizing a unique and refined cocoa recipe—one that brings out the full expression of Ecuador’s native cacao varieties, while honoring the ancestral knowledge behind each bean.

Today, as a direct descendant of Papa Carlos (Great-Grandson) and with whom I shared hobbies and anecdotes until I was 10 years old, I have the responsability of continuing his legacy...
